Physical Therapy

Move Better. Heal Faster. Stay Pain-Free.

Physical therapy at Capitol Rehab of Arlington goes beyond easing symptoms. Through one-on-one, individualized plans and a hands-on, manual approach, we help your body relearn how to move properly and efficiently, so you don't just feel better, you function better.

Every plan is built around you and may combine active and passive exercise, strength training, dry needling, cupping therapy, and Active Release Techniques®. Our therapists, J. Lyn Stewart, MSPT; Lauren Shaub, DPT, CSCS®; and Tessa O'Hara, PT, DPT, work with you side by side to restore strength, movement, and confidence at every step of your recovery.

What can physical therapy help with?
Our unique, one-on-one, hands-on approach combines the latest advances in active rehabilitation with a comprehensive range of therapeutic modalities. Every treatment plan is carefully customized to address each patient’s individual needs, goals, and condition—helping them recover, restore function, and get back to doing what they love.
What techniques do you use?
Depending on your needs, your plan may include active and passive exercise, strength training, dry needling, cupping therapy, and Active Release Techniques®.
What is dry needling, and is it the same as acupuncture?
No. Dry needling targets tight muscle knots and trigger points to relieve pain, reduce tension, and restore normal muscle function. It's a modern therapeutic technique, not traditional acupuncture.
How is your physical therapy different?
Every plan is one-on-one and hands-on. Instead of a generic routine, your therapist works directly with you to correct how your body moves so results actually last.
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on your condition and goals. Your therapist designs a plan after your first evaluation and adjusts it as you progress, always aiming for lasting results, not endless visits.
